We are currently hiring across multiple Henry Ford Health hospitals and care sites, offering opportunities in both Emergency Department and outpatient settings.
Position Overview
As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and visitors throughout their healthcare journey. Following standard operating procedures, you will:
Greet and assist patients with a welcoming, service-focused approach
Manage face-to-face check-ins and pre-registration processes
Verify insurance eligibility and collect applicable payments
Accurately complete new patient registrations and update records
Respond to patient and visitor questions with professionalism and compassion
You will serve as a trusted advocate for patients—ensuring their needs are met while delivering an efficient, seamless, and positive experience from arrival to departure.

What We’re Looking For
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience in patient registration, medical office, or customer-facing roles preferred
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Education/Experience Required
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
EPIC training/experience preferred.
Insurance payor systems experience preferred.
ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred.
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff.
Must be willing and able to instruct others.
Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
