Senior Accountant
Sakuu Corporation is a San Jose–based advanced manufacturing and battery technology company developing next-generation energy storage solutions using proprietary additive manufacturing processes. Sakuu is focused on scaling innovative battery production to support applications across electric vehicles, aerospace, and energy storage.
Sakuu is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations in a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for monthly close activities, inventory and cost accounting, and financial reporting, with direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. The position is fully on-site and reports to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Manage inventory and cost accounting, including variance analysis
- Partner with operations to validate production data, BOMs, and inventory movement
- Prepare internal financial reports and balance sheet and P&L analysis
- Support audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Assist with cash flow and working capital analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close process
- Manufacturing or technology accounting experience
- Advanced Excel
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, on-site environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Extensive ERP experience
- Audit support experience
Compensation
- Base salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
