Project Manager

Job Title & Location Project Manager in Architecture – Tustin, Orange County, California. Role The Project Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and management of the internal and external project team, focusing on three primary goals: maximizing the design value of the project, achieving technical excellence, and achieving the expected financial results. The Project Manager plans, organizes, and manages large or several small-scale projects through all phases of development until completion and has overall responsibility for client engagement, design and technical quality control, resourcing, and financial performance. Responsibilities Successfully represents the client’s goals and needs of the team and WATG’s requirements to the client Creates the project work plan and adjusts the work plan as needed as the project proceeds Negotiates additional services as appropriate Monitors project processes and quality to make sure that design concepts meet internal and external expectations Creates detailed project schedules, work breakdown structure, and budgets, and maintains the work plan through regular monitoring and communication, and by making timely decisions and taking actions to meet project milestones and financial status and outcome Maintains high-quality standards for design and production of the required deliverables on time and within budget Has technical strength in a professional discipline or specific project type to successfully write project narratives, research code requirements, review cost estimates, design and technical deliverables, construction contract documents, and sub-consultant work Understands and manages the relationship between the project contract terms, the team assignments, budgets, and schedules, and controls the resulting impact on WATG’s financial results, forecasts, and staffing plans Manages timely and accurate billings and collections Coordinates with the principal and marketing/business development team's efforts related to business development, marketing, and negotiation in the procurement of new projects and clients, especially as it relates to additional work/add services from existing clients Assists with the preparation of the contract, including terms and conditions Leads effective team collaboration across service lines in external and internal project meetings Manages and monitors the day-to-day activities of the project team and their assignments Supervises and mentors team members toward effective and efficient project progress and professional development Qualifications Professional degree from an appropriate accredited institution Professional license preferred Environmental accreditation desired when applicable Minimum of 10 years of related project management experience Proficient technical skills, including Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software like Rhino, Grasshopper, and SketchUp Experience with the full project lifecycle through post-occupancy as appropriate Knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures Consistent track record of successful project delivery Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills (internal and external) Proactive problem‑solving skills Travel may be required Job Information Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 per year Equal Opportunity Employer WATG is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr WATG and Wimberly Interiors
