Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Location: Maryland

A respected Maryland law firm is seeking a Junior Litigation Attorney to support a busy litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to gain hands-on experience, work closely with experienced lawyers, and build strong courtroom and case management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation, from case intake through resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Support attorneys with case strategy, trial preparation, and hearing preparation
• Manage document review and help coordinate eDiscovery matters
• Participate in depositions, client meetings, court appearances, and settlement discussions as appropriate
• Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate case files
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Maryland bar admission, or pending admission with strong expectation of licensure
• 1–3 years of litigation experience, including internships or clerkships if applicable
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with document management systems and litigation technology is a plus

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to civil litigation, employment litigation, commercial litigation, or insurance defense
• Familiarity with eDiscovery processes and document-intensive matters
• Prior judicial clerkship or law firm litigation experience preferred
