Overview Job Posting: Senior Tax Compliance Representative Employer: Employment Development Department (EDD) Job Code: JC-519941 Salary: $6,646.00 - $8,324.00 per month. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule at the department’s discretion. Travel as required by duties. Responsibilities Independently perform the most involved, difficult, and sensitive compliance activities under general supervision. Utilize judgment and knowledge of statutes, regulations, and compliance procedures to resolve delinquent tax liabilities and/or delinquent tax returns. Monitor ongoing work activities and provide technical support to staff; assist the Tax Administrator I as needed. Coordinate with employers or employer representatives via telephone, written correspondence, field calls, or other collection tools (e.g., investigations, warrants, seizures). Train and assist staff in all aspects of the tax collection process. Demonstrate basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and familiarity with the automated systems and internet sources used within the Collection Division. The Senior Tax Compliance Representative (Specialist) exam is a departmental promotional exam for EDD employees; next administration tentatively scheduled for June 2027.
