The Tax Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in managing tax preparation, compliance, and related financial activities independently. This individual contributor position focuses on individual, corporate, sales and use, and payroll taxes, ensuring accurate and timely filings while maintaining strong client communication and meticulous documentation.

** Responsibilities **

• Prepare and file individual, corporate, sales and use, and payroll tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding tax matters
• Manage and organize supporting tax documentation and records
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings
• Provide administrative support as needed to facilitate tax operations

** Preferred Qualifications **

• 2+ years of experience in tax accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency with tax software such as Pro Tax
• Proficiency in CFS software
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective time management skills
