Full Opportunity Brief Title: Legal Counsel (Employment Law) Category: Jobs Organiser: IMC Trading Description: IMC Trading is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join its in-house legal team in Chicago. The role serves as the primary legal advisor on employment matters across the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, and terminations. Key responsibilities include providing multi-state employment law counsel (focusing on IL and NY), partnering with HR for risk mitigation, leading internal investigations, and advising on industry-specific regulatory considerations such as FINRA licensing and whistleblower protections. Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school and hold an active bar admission in Illinois and/or NewYork. A minimum of 8 years of employment law experience is required, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in financial services or highly regulated industries. Experience with wage and hour laws, restrictive covenants, and workplace investigations is essential.
