Senior Project Manager – Construction Job Description:

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and successful execution of large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects through preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
• Lead project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and purchase agreements.
• Monitor project financial performance, including billing, cash flow, and profitability.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, quality requirements, and contract specifications.
• Lead OAC meetings and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership and clients.
• Mentor and develop junior project management personnel.
• Manage project closeout activities, warranties, and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial or multifamily construction experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience with increasing responsibility.
• Proven ability to manage projects valued at $25M+.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, scheduling, and cost control.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, tenant improvement, or podium construction projects.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• LEED accreditation or other industry certifications are a plus.
