Our Troy location, conveniently located about 20 miles north of Detroit, offers outpatient mental health treatment for adults 18+ with conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more. Position Summary: This role assists in overseeing and promoting the health and safety of clients throughout the treatment process. Nurse Practitioners provide compassionate and professional medical care and guidance to clients, ensuring optimal levels of client health and safety during treatment. Cultivates and maintains a client-centered approach to care, incorporating cultural, spiritual preferences, values, and beliefs; maintains confidentiality, privacy, comfort, emotional support, mutual trust, and respect. Collaborates with Medical Director/Medical Providers in the provision of medical care to clients. Completes all required client assessments within appropriate timelines as required by payor and regulatory bodies. Ensures physician orders are recorded and followed; submits lab and medication orders as needed; oversees medication management, prescribing, and monitoring efficacy as needed. Leads continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensures processes adhere to licensure and accreditation standards. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to ensure adherence to medication management and incident reporting processes. Completes required documentation related to assessments, medication management, and clinical observations in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborates with Utilization Review team, engaging in peer-to-peer case review and advocacy as needed. Additional Responsibilities Functions within the guidelines of the Company’s Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance. Maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and company PHI guidelines. Models and promotes alignment with company values, mission, and goals. Keeps job knowledge current through continuing education opportunities as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Licensed or eligible for licensure within one year to practice in the State of Michigan as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner. Working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment, and related treatment interventions. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches to meet each client’s needs. Ability to conceptualize and implement a master treatment plan with fully developed problems, objectives, and goals; monitor other clinicians to do the same. Three or more years of psychiatric/psychological experience. Other Requirements Valid driver’s license and an acceptable three-year driving record. Active and clear DEA License. Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements. Skill Competencies Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion.
