About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Telemetry experience required - IV start skills required - Experience managing arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, and blood products Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Float Pool specialty. The role primarily involves working night shifts with a patient ratio of 1:3-4. Floating to different units within the organization may be required based on staffing needs. Working with patients of varying diagnoses is expected. The position involves assisting with a variety of clinical procedures including, but not limited to, pre/post-op care, telemetry monitoring, and wound care. Interdisciplinary support will be available including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must have the ability to manage and interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Experience with respiratory management and high-flow nasal cannula is necessary. The nursing responsibilities include administering medications and managing IV and central lines. The ability to cooperate with credentialing processes and meet deadlines is essential.
