Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at the Athletics Therapy Center in Sterling, Virginia . Work Environment

This position is based onsite, allowing you to work closely with patients in a comfortable and familiar home setting. You'll be part of a cohesive team where communication is key, working alongside occupational therapists, nursing staff, and a network of health professionals. The daily schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering work-life balance while you provide necessary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate mobility limitations and pain levels, tailoring treatment plans to each individual's needs.
• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions, employing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and assistive devices to enhance function.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, occupational therapists, physicians, and family members, to ensure holistic care for each patient.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans while educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety protocols.
• Advocate for preventative care and wellness initiatives, developing programs to promote a healthier lifestyle for patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of care provided, aligning with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on aging adults and those in need of rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. You'll develop treatment plans that not only address physical limitations but also support patients emotionally as they regain their independence. The goal is to empower each individual to thrive in their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Virginia PT license in good standing.
• At least 2 years of experience working in home health, geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and patient-centered care.
• A passion for enhancing dignity and freedom of movement in aging adults.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) in documenting patient care.
• Background in working with diverse populations and understanding their unique home care needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and education.
