Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $1,862 per week

Job Description Fusion Medical Staffing‑Cardio is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment at a facility in Johnston, Iowa. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Start Date: 07/13/2026. Employment Type: Travel. Qualifications One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient receives the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions and PC skills Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend Interpersonal skills: work effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism Technical and motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, move around while assisting with procedures and equipment Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with general public and customers, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, handle irregular schedules, maintain continuous concentration to detail Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Highly competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first‑day coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability offered 401(k) matching Aggressive refer‑a‑friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs EEO Statement Fusion is an EOE/ E-Verify Employer.
