Physical Therapist (PT)

Position Overview

A Physical Therapist (PT) is needed to provide care in a long-term acute care setting. The role encompasses working with a medically complex patient population, focusing on rehabilitation and treatment aimed at improving mobility and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments to adult patients with various conditions.
Develop personalized care plans based on patient assessments and diagnoses.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Utilize essential equipment including wheelchairs, walkers, parallel bars, and lifts as part of treatment protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings is required.

Preferred Skills

Experience in managing cardiopulmonary conditions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Flexible and adaptable to varying patient needs and changing priorities.

Additional Information

Shift: Day shift with a guaranteed workload of 32-40 hours per week.
Weekend hours may be scheduled based on patient needs and therapist availability.
Dress Code: Scrubs of any color are permitted, with restrictions on blue jeans, shorts, and hats.

Patient Population

The job involves working with adult patients who are experiencing long-term acute medical complexities, including respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, and stroke.
