Bilingual Production Lead

Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Carrollton
Schedule: 1st shift: 5am- 2:30pm, 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:30 pm (Onsite)
Compensation: $20-23 (Plus shift differentials: +$1.00/hr for 2nd shift; +$1.50/hr for overnight shifts)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.

  • Execute and coordinate employee training. 

  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor

  • Complete lot acceptance activities for assigned assembly cell.

  • Track and report daily/weekly/monthly production metrics 

  • Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.

  • Follow policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System.

  • Complete required documentation relating to business or regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

  • Act as a communicator during meetings, management updates, and staff shift changes.

  • Ensure employees are in compliance with the cGMP’s and PPE company requirements.

  • Receive and verify daily production components

  • Learn the ERP (Deacom) system to maintain accurate inventory levels

  • Do daily production material reconciliation and close production paperwork within a 24-hour period.

  • Be able to submit change controls when the information in the BOM doesn’t match what is processed at the floor level.

  • Hold daily huddles with the team to inform of the plan for the day and expectations

  • Understands and follows up daily on production KPI’s.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                   

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • 2-3 years’ related experience and/or training

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in an organized fashion 

  • Ability to work with others collaboratively/teamwork

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Experience leading teams or projects is strongly desired.

  • Food and Drug manufacturing experience.

 

SKILLS:                                                        

  • English language skills required.  Spanish language skills preferred.                 

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.  Ability to perform these operations using American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to convert and understand weight metrics such as grams, ML, OZ, LB, KG, and gallons.       

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather); working near moving mechanical parts; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather), and moderate to loud noise levels.
