National Sales Manager

The National Sales Manager is responsible for developing and growing a national pipeline of large, strategic church accounts that can significantly advance the mission and reach of Upward Sports. This role works a designated target list while proactively identifying high potential prospects, with a focus on churches averaging 1,500 or more in Sunday attendance. This role builds relationships with key decision makers, church leader networks, recreation ministry networks, and other ministry influencers to create new opportunities for Upward Sports. The National Sales Manager serves as a trusted advisor through longer, more complex sales cycles, navigating multiple stakeholders and developing customized solutions that lead to high impact, long-term partnerships. Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate a servant leadership mindset while modeling confidence, professionalism, accountability, and commitment to the mission of Upward Sports. Build and manage a national pipeline of large, strategic church accounts. Work a designated target list of high-priority churches, multisite churches, church networks, denominations, and ministry organizations. Proactively identify and qualify churches with an average Sunday attendance of 1,500 or more as potential strategic partners. Develop account specific strategies for engaging priority prospects, identifying key stakeholders, and creating a path toward partnership. Build strategic relationships with church leaders, church networks, denominational leaders, and ministry influencers that create new opportunities for Upward Sports. Build strategic relationships with recreation ministry leaders and recreation leader networks across the country. Navigate longer and more complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and layers of decision making. Discover the needs, goals, and challenges of prospective partners and develop customized solutions that align with their ministry objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process by providing ministry expertise, strategic recommendations, and consistent follow-up. Represent Upward Sports at conferences, denominational gatherings, networking events, and other strategic opportunities. Manage strategic opportunities through the sales pipeline while maintaining accurate forecasting, documentation, and next steps within the CRM. Consistently achieve agreed upon pipeline development, partnership growth, and performance objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a remarkable prospect experience and ensure a seamless transition of new partners to the Account Management Team. Attend Upward’s weekly devotion time; prepare and deliver one devotion annually to contribute to the spiritual growth and unity of the Upward team. Represent the mission, values, and standards of Upward Sports in all communications and interactions, both internally and external Perform other Partner Experience duties or strategic projects as assigned. Education and/or license required/preferred or other requirements B.A/B.S. in related field or equivalent experience 15+ years in Sales. Will require the ability to comprehend and relate to a variety of systems and products that will play a critical role in conversations with prospects. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed information in CRM.
