Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview Rocky Mountain Steel Mills (RMS) seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to join our maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado plant. The role supervises an assigned maintenance crew and coordinates with operations. Responsibilities Train the workforce on safe work practices Implement a preventive maintenance program Plan and follow through on maintenance repairs Develop new skill levels for members of assigned maintenance crews Maintain equipment functionality and alignment Schedule employee training sessions and meetings Maintain KRONOS pay system by reviewing, editing, and approving employee timecards daily Assist in procuring, organizing, and inventorying parts and materials needed for repairs Requirements Two-year degree in mechanical, electrical, or completed accredited apprenticeship Four-year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred Five years experience in machining, mechanical, or electrical maintenance Knowledge of hydraulic systems Technical experience with high-voltage systems, motor control, and process automation Proficient in blueprint reading and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment operations Experience supervising in a union environment (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong leadership and communication skills Must be available to be on call and assist personnel in emergencies and business needs Ability to work in inside and outside environmental conditions and be exposed to physical hazards, elevated noise, vibrations, and extreme cold and heat Ability to effectively manage change Valid driver’s license Compensation & Benefits Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 Competitive wages and bonus opportunities Family medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee cost Short and long-term disability programs Competitive retirement plans Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Employer-provided and voluntary life insurance options Paid vacation and recognized statutory holidays Apprenticeship and career advancement within the company Tuition reimbursement Wellness program Employment Information Open & Closing Dates: 3/5/2025 – 4/23/2026 Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
