As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in implementing patient care plans and collaborating with Physical Therapists to ensure optimal outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing components of patient care and obtaining data related to treatments provided
• Assisting Physical Therapists in the treatment of individuals from newborns to the elderly
• Helping patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
• Reading and following instructions from Physical Therapists
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists to modify care as necessary
• Communicating with families to identify effective at-home techniques
• Maintaining a clean and organized physical therapy area
• Assisting patients in moving from wheelchairs or walkers to therapy areas
• Completing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork
• Teaching patients techniques like balance training

Requirements:

• Active PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Need 1 year experience in setting
• Long-term care or rehab experience required
