Role Overview

As a Senior Application Developer, you will play a key role in building and modernizing front-office trading systems. This includes developing New Issues Book Building, trade capture, and electronic trading capabilities. You will work closely with business stakeholders and global technology partners to deliver scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack development with a focus on Java, Angular, ReactJS/TypeScript, Python, and Oracle/MongoDB.
• Collaborate with regional and global technology teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
• Engage with end-users to gather requirements and deliver user-centric solutions.
• Drive the strategic UI roadmap and contribute to modernization efforts.
• Develop robust, high-performance systems with strong maintainability and supportability.
• Partner with compliance, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Provide direct desk support and assist with critical projects impacting the Municipal trading business.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• 5+ years of development experience with Angular/TypeScript or ReactJS/TypeScript.
• Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise.
• Experience building front-office trading applications within Fixed Income, Municipal Bonds, or Capital Markets.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of trade capture, order management, and new issue processing workflows.
• Strong experience with enterprise tools and technologies such as AMPS messaging, OpenShift, and Quartz.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Industry experience in Markets Front-Office Trading environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Capital Markets or Trading platforms, including Equities, Fixed Income, or regulatory-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, Splunk, Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with platform modernization, such as legacy upgrades or cloud adoption.
• Knowledge of dependency management across applications and infrastructure.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools for planning, reporting, or requirements analysis.
• Ability to identify process improvements and standardize delivery practices.
