Hardware Engineer

DescriptionSAIC seeks a highly experienced and energetic Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer. This position is in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Job DutiesPerform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis at the rack levelGeneration of engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assembliesAnalysis of supplier LRUs, including step-file and 3D model review and compliance to specificationsAbility to support system integration, test, development, and execution of various types of complex communications systemsDevelops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativityProvide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance supportParticipate in troubleshooting systems to resolve complex issues, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining sub-systems.QualificationsBachelors and five plus (5+) years’ experience and four plus (4+) years’ experience, in lieu of a degreeAbility to obtain Secret Clearance Experience in designing new or modifying existing products, developing technical specifications for production, analyzing hardware configuration and processing solutions, and testing hardware conformance to specificationsDesired Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWRKnowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterpriseJob Field: Engineering and SciencesTravel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
