Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 year interventional Cath Lab experience required; diagnostic Cath Lab-only experience is not accepted. - Required experience with STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacers. - Must be comfortable with groin site management, radial band management (VascBand), moderate sedation, titrating drips, emergency drugs, efficient defib/pacer use, recognizing rhythm changes, and knowing when and what anticoagulant to administer. - Vent experience is not required, but must be comfortable addressing vent alarms and distinguishing critical alarms from error alarms.

Special Requests: - You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). You may also apply for the opposite shift on the same unit and facility, but not another position with the same shift on the same unit and facility. - Cannot guarantee block scheduling on the front end.

Unit Details: - Typically sees 20-25 patients per day. - Cases may include EP procedures such as pacemakers, MICRA, lead extractions/revisions, generator changes, and ablations; vascular cases such as peripheral cases and carotids; PE cases including Inari and EKOS; and hybrid/structural cases including Watchman, TAVR, and PFOs. Prior experience with these is not required. - Non-ICU patients go to Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR) after the case. - Uses XPER for hemodynamic monitoring, IntellaSpace PACS, Plum 360 IV pumps, and Omnicell. Other equipment used includes Medtronic ACT machine, Rotapro, CSI, shockwave, laser, Rotablator, FFR, and IVUS; prior experience with this equipment is not required.

Shift & Scheduling: - On-call every 4th weekend, Friday EOS until Monday at 0630. - Weekday call is 1 call night per week, EOS until 0630 the following morning; possibly 1 late shift per week as well. - Late shift stays until the cases are done and is not worked concurrently with a call shift. - Will not be on call prior to your day off. - 30-minute response time. - Holiday expectations: one major and one minor seasonal holiday per contract.

Floating Requirements: - Possibility of floating to IR or Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR); prior experience there is not required.

10 days maximum time off.
