Statistical Scientist (Ph.D.) Location: Bellevue, WA We are looking for a Statistical Scientist to join our Data Sciences practice in our Bellevue, WA office. In this role, you will collaborate on diverse projects involving the collection, management, visualization, and inferential analysis of data. Responsibilities Participate in a variety of projects involving exploratory data analysis, statistical inference, and predictive modeling. Apply risk analysis methodologies to problems in engineering, health, finance, ecology, and the environment. Support internal and external clients in planning data collection, including framing the problem, experimental design, sample‑size calculations, and identifying appropriate populations and sampling strategies. Develop reports and visualizations to address clients’ scientific and engineering problems and to support litigation. Qualifications Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey statistical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Experience or capabilities in statistical data mining, reliability and life‑data analysis, experimental design, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, or quality control/improvement. Minimum of two years of experience with one or more statistical software packages (SAS and R preferred). Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Programming skills in C++, SQL, Visual Basic, or Python and experience with software or dashboard development are strongly preferred.
