Medical Director – Transplant Hepatology Banner University Medicine and the University of Arizona Tucson invite applications for a visionary leader to serve as Medical Director of Transplant Hepatology. The role will lead a growing team of hepatologists, partnering closely with transplant surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other multidisciplinary team members to advance a rapidly expanding and academically vibrant abdominal transplant program. Responsibilities Serve as the clinical and strategic lead for transplant hepatology, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and intensivists. Build and shape the future of the transplant program, including development of robotic organ transplantation, living donor liver transplant, and auto‑islet transplantation. Engage deeply in academic research and mentorship, supported by the BIO5 Institute and the Boyer Liver Institute. Lead program‑building efforts, maintaining clinical excellence and fostering academic scholarship. Provide protected time for leadership, research, and teaching, with faculty appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Qualifications Board certification in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology. Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary liver transplant care. Strong commitment to clinical program building, academic scholarship, and mentorship.
