Nurse Manager Of Behavioral Health - Northport, Alabama

Horizon Health Corporation is seeking an Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health to work on the inpatient psychiatric units at the Northpoint Medical Center in Northpoint, AL. The Nurse Manager plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of overall nursing care to patients. He/she provides managerial support in conjunction with the clinical leadership by providing supervision and evaluation of all nursing and patient care personnel. He/she contributes to the facility through commitment to nursing goals, the supervision of clinical staff, participation on the treatment team(s).

Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and enforcing clinical staffing plans, providing leadership and direction, monitoring nursing personnel performance, collaborating with physicians and team members, ensuring efficient discharge plans, and maintaining continuity among nursing teams.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, 5-8 years of related work experience, State RN Certification/License in AL required, CPR, BLS and ACLS required, Crisis Prevention Experience, Ability to Manager anger, fear, hostility and violence of others, Ability to Manager Stress Appropriately, Proficient in Applicable Software Applications, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Proficient in mathematical and analytical skills as they apply to clinical duties, Above Average Organization Skills, Ability to Prioritize Multiple Tasks.
