About the Role

As an Administrator Construction Manager, you’ll lead contractor oversight and manage field-based outside plant (OSP) construction operations. With approximately 80% of your time spent in the field, your leadership will directly shape project outcomes and network expansion. This is a 12 -month, full-time consultant role offering steady, hands-on work in a growing industry.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day OSP construction activities and contractor performance

• Conduct pre- and post-construction inspections to verify quality and compliance

• Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and internal teams to ensure project success

• Monitor budgets and project expenditures for accuracy and efficiency

• Handle material management, accurate project reporting, invoicing, and documentation

• Investigate and report plant damage incidents

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, permitting, Work Zone Protection (WZP), and Traffic Control Plans (TCP)

• Attend pre-construction meetings and manage project scheduling

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, project management, and other departments

What You Bring

• In-depth knowledge of OSP construction standards, practices, unit descriptions, and SSP contracts

• Strong understanding of state, local, and company safety requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions, perform physical site work, and conduct field inspections

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight travel

• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• Experience with light testing at network hubs
