Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Flex Pool)

Contract | Full-Time | Days (0645–1915) | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float between various medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
• Provide direct patient care across units with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 (Medical/Surgical Acute, days) and 1:4 (Cardiovascular)
• Operate and manage unit-specific equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Adhere to unit-specific orientation programs provided for each assigned department
• Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) in accordance with dress code policy
• Candidates must hold an active State of Hawaii RN license by the start of the assignment; licensure must be obtained upon acceptance of offer if not already held

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the State of Hawaii required by assignment start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (up to 10+ years considered)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification
• Procedural Sedation certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
