Inside Sales / Builder Design Representative

Fresno, CA | $20$22/hour + Commission + Bonus

Position Overview We are seeking a personable and sales-driven Inside Sales / Builder Design Representative to assist customers who are referred to us by local home builders. In this role, you will work directly with homeowners and buyers as they make product and design selections for their new homes. This is a customer-facing, consultative sales position focused on helping customers understand their options, make selections that fit their home, style, and budget, and creating an excellent experience throughout the process. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has a natural eye for design, and is comfortable guiding customers through purchasing decisions. Experience with appliances, home design, construction products, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furniture, or similar showroom sales would be especially valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with customers referred by home builders to assist with product and design selections for their new homes.
• Guide customers through available options, upgrades, features, pricing, and product recommendations.
• Provide a consultative sales experience by learning the customer's needs, style preferences, and budget.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades and additional product sales while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Prepare and present accurate quotes and product information.
• Coordinate selections and orders with builders, customers, and internal departments.
• Answer customer questions and resolve concerns throughout the selection and purchasing process.
• Maintain accurate customer, quote, order, and sales information within the CRM.
• Stay knowledgeable about available products, current trends, inventory, and manufacturer options.
• Build strong relationships with customers and builder representatives to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Partner with the Outside Sales and support teams to ensure builder accounts and their customers receive excellent service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer-facing sales experience preferred.
• Experience in showroom sales, interior design, home furnishings, appliances, flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, new home sales, or construction-related products is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable discussing pricing, upgrades, and product options with customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make customers feel comfortable and confident in their selections.
• An interest in home design, dcor, appliances, or new construction.
• Ability to learn product specifications and explain options in an easy-to-understand way.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing quotes, selections, and orders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning CRM and sales systems.
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple customers and orders at different stages of the sales process.

Compensation

$20$22/hour + Commission + Bonus

This position is expected to begin as a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with the potential for a fast conversion to permanent employment, or may be considered for Direct Hire depending on the candidate's experience.
