About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Chemo Certification by ONS provider Must-Have: Chemo Certifications by ONS provider Description: Chemo certification is required. The unit has 16 chairs with a patient ratio of 4:1. There are no unit secretaries or techs available. The equipment used includes Alaris Pumps. Documentation is completed using MediTech Expanse. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend or major holiday shifts. Staff may float to the TCT Infusion department after completing orientation. Experience with chemotherapy patients is required. Skills needed include the ability to access Port-A-Caths using sterile technique. Ability to obtain peripheral venous access for chemotherapy administration is necessary. Candidates must be able to provide IV hydration and electrolyte repletion. Staff should be able to obtain height, weight, and vital signs. Drawing labs using a central venous catheter or peripherally is required. The dress code consists of solid-colored scrubs in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal. Unit policies and guidelines should be attached for review. Additional information may include technology, staff tenure, and schedule options to entice candidates.
