We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly organized Childcare Center DIRECTOR to lead the daily operations of our well-established and highly respected childcare center. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing staff, maintaining licensing compliance, supporting curriculum excellence, building strong family relationships, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a genuine passion for early childhood education, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive culture for both staff and families.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center to ensure a safe, positive, and high-quality learning environment

Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff through coaching, training, and professional development

Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain qualified childcare professionals

Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies

Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios and classroom coverage

Build strong relationships with families through open communication and exceptional customer service

Conduct tours for prospective families and support enrollment growth initiatives

Oversee curriculum implementation to ensure age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally sound programming

Manage center administration, including attendance, staff schedules, incident reports, and required documentation

Monitor center operations, budgets, supplies, and operational efficiency

Address parent concerns professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner

Promote a warm, inclusive, and collaborative center culture for children, families, and staff

Qualifications

Previous DIRECTOR experience in a licensed childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting required

Director credentials and/or qualifications required per state licensing regulations

Strong knowledge of childcare licensing standards, health, and safety requirements

Experience managing staff, scheduling, and team development

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred

CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Must successfully pass all required background clearances
