Come join us-everyone is welcome at our camp!ABOUT THE POSITIONGathr Outdoors is seeking a hands-on Director, Digital Operations to lead the operating engine behind our digital commerce business across Amazon, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), and third-party marketplaces.Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Commerce, this leader will turn commercial priorities into action by leading cross-functional initiatives, removing operational roadblocks, improving processes, and driving projects through completion. Amazon will be an immediate area of focus, with broader responsibility for building scalable operating practices that support DTC, marketplace, and international growth.This is a player-coach role for a leader who can move comfortably between strategic discussions, cross-functional project leadership, and hands-on problem- solving.RESPONSIBILITIESLead day-to-day execution of priority digital commerce initiatives across Amazon, DTC, and third-party marketplaces.Translate commercial priorities into clear workstreams, owners, milestones, and deliverables and drive them through completion.Serve as a senior hands-on operating lead for Amazon, including Vendor Central and Seller Central activities.Drive execution across catalog and item setup, pricing, inventory, content, promotions, product launches, and channel requirements.Identify operational roadblocks, coordinate resources, and drive issues to root-cause resolution.Lead complex cross-functional projects involving Digital Commerce, Planning, Supply Chain, Sales, Product, Brand, Creative, Finance, Technology, Customer Experience, and external partners.Establish effective operating cadences, project plans, issue tracking, escalation paths, and accountability.Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce rework, improve cycle times, and increase operational efficiency.Develop scalable processes, documentation, reporting, dashboards, and operating standards across digital commerce channels.Build cross-training and redundancy into critical workflows to reduce single points of failure.Lead and develop digital operations resources, including anticipated responsibility for catalog/master data and product activation capabilities.Partner with Digital Experience/UX and Ecommerce Development teams to translate operational priorities into effective customer-facing execution.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS7+ years of experience in digital commerce, ecommerce operations, marketplace operations, digital project/program management, or a related field.Strong hands-on Amazon experience, including familiarity with Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.Experience with Amazon workflows involving catalog management, item setup, content, pricing, inventory, promotions, and issue resolution.Experience supporting DTC ecommerce and/or third-party marketplace channels.Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Demonstrated success in a hands-on, high-accountability environment where you personally drive execution while leading others.Strong analytical, process-improvement, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and influence skills across senior leaders, functional teams, agencies, and external partners.Strong ownership, urgency, adaptability, and follow-through.PREFERRED EXPERIENCEExperience leading teams or major cross-functional digital commerce initiatives.Experience with both Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central.Shopify or similar DTC ecommerce platform experience.Experience with third-party marketplaces and international ecommerce channels.Experience with catalog/master data and digital product activation.Experience in consumer products, outdoor recreation, sporting goods, or a multi-brand organization.SKILLS / PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONSHands -on, operator-first leadership style with a strong bias for action.Ability to turn ambiguity into clear priorities and executable plans.Strong project leadership, organization, and accountability skills.Resourceful problem solver who is willing to step directly into the work when needed.Ability to build effective processes without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.Strong business judgment and ability to prioritize high-impact initiatives.Collaborative and influential across functions and organizational levels.Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with detailed operational execution.Data-driven, adaptable, and focused on continuous improvement and measurable results.EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONSBachelor 's degree preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobWORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in a typical office environment and at times may travel to various Gathr sites, but minimal.
