Associate Scientist - Biology

Amgen seeks an Associate Scientist in Biology for a laboratory-based role developing RNA therapeutics and genetic medicines. The position involves designing experiments across molecular and cellular biology, managing automation workflows, and executing in vivo pharmacology studies to advance oligonucleotide drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Execute molecular and cellular biology techniques including nucleic acid transfection and protein/RNA analysis
• Develop and implement automated high-throughput RT-qPCR and RNA-seq workflows
• Design and conduct in vivo pharmacology studies with model implementation and sample processing
• Plan and analyze complex experiments bridging in vitro and in vivo systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advance RNA therapeutics and genetic medicine discovery

Requirements

• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 2+ years related research experience
• Hands-on expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques and assays
• Experience with mammalian tissue culture and primary cell assays
• Proficiency developing and implementing high-throughput RT-qPCR and RNA-seq automation
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute in vivo pharmacology studies
• Strong organizational and communication skills for collaborative team environments
