LVN - Psychiatric Unit Position

Come join our team! LVN - Psychiatric Unit position located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Center in Corona, CA. Part time nights, shift position. Reporting to the Nurse Manager and Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position will require accountability for the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. Utilizes specialized knowledge and skills in the application of nursing process skills to deliver quality care to the serious and persistent mental illness. Works in conjunction with the Charge Nurse and may function as Relief Charge Nurse, as needed.

Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

• Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis(es), terminology and medical record charting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• At least two (2) years experience working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, preferably one of those years in an inpatient setting.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Assaultive Behavior Management Training required within 90 days from date of hire.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Current California LVN license required.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
