Test Engineer (IB3)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate software for manufacturing test systems.
• Develop and maintain test software and hardware solutions for manufacturing environments.
• Create and maintain software requirements and system design documentation.
• Collaborate with OEM tester software teams and support test software transfers to global manufacturing sites.
• Debug and resolve test issues using engineering principles and improve testing efficiency.
• Support Cisco network-based product testing, including advanced routing, switching, WAN design, and router configuration.
• Provide technical leadership within the software test team and mentor peers.
• Perform failure analysis and test development activities.

Requirements

• At least two years of production experience and preferably three or more years in a manufacturing or electronics-focused environment.
• Experience with advanced failure analysis, test development, software system architecture, and unit test scripts.
• Proficiency in Python, Linux, and Visual Basic.
• Familiarity with multi-tiered systems and PXE servers.
• Working knowledge of network fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science required; a master’s degree in computer science is preferred.
• Five or more years of comparable professional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement on a case-by-case basis.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and customer-focused skills.
