Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac TelemetryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cardiac care and telemetry monitoring for adult and geriatric patients.ResponsibilitiesAdminister continuous IV medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin.Manage intravenous diuretics such as Bumex and Lasix.Administer and monitor anticoagulants including Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin.Oversee insulin drips for patients requiring glycemic control.Provide care for complex patient populations including those with CHF, chest pain, renal issues, and respiratory conditions such as COPD and pulmonary edema.Conduct arrhythmia management, cardioversion, and stabilize patients with various cardiac arrhythmias (e.g., stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia).Work with post-cardiac cath patients, managing TR Bands and performing basic arrhythmia assessments.Occasionally care for overflow orthopaedic and CVA patients.Follow established protocols and utilize unit systems such as Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR for effective communication and documentation.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.Experience with cardiac telemetry and managing cardiac drips is mandatory.Ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:5-6 within a 32-bed unit.Willingness to float within the facility as needed.Work ScheduleThis position requires day shifts, with a commitment to working three 12-hour shifts each week. Travelers are typically scheduled every other weekend, with the possibility of additional shifts as needed based on unit demands.Holidays & ComplianceEmployees are expected to work during major holidays as outlined, with a maximum of one holiday off during the assignment period. Full compliance with all requirements is necessary for timely onboarding.Additional InformationOvertime may occasionally be necessary, and response time for call is generally two hours, though calls are rare.
