Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care while working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to float to different units as needed.

• Unit Type: Telemetry
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
• Years of Experience: 2 Years
• Common Diagnosis: Medical-Surgical patients
• Nurse-Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Weekend Requirements: 4 weekends in a 6-week schedule
• Holiday Requirements: 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday
• Scrub Color: Navy

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpreting telemetry strips and initiating appropriate interventions.
• Titrate medications, including heparin, as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit responsibilities, including floating to different areas as needed.
• Assist with the orientation of new staff members and nursing students.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with CPAP, BiPap, and high flow oxygen management preferred.

New hires will receive 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the team. Our nursing staff is supported by nurse aids/patient care techs for optimal patient care.
