Position: Part Sales & Technical Support Representative

Department: Field Service

Reports To: Director of Field Service

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $27.25/hour - $40.87/hour

The posted salary range represents the full range for this position. Starting compensation is typically offered within the lower to mid portion of the range, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Offers at the higher end of the range are reserved for candidates with highly relevant experience and a strong alignment to the role requirements.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with technical support needs
• Enter defect issues into company software
• Utilize various sources of data for current and legacy product support
• Walk in customer support
• Assist customers with their parts needs utilizing company software
• Quotes
• Orders
• Invoices
• Freight
• Walk in customer support
• Process and resolve warranty claims

In general, this position is responsible for delivering a pleasant and satisfying experience to our customers. These services are delivered via a combination of phone, email, web, and walk-ins. The hours of coverage are a 24 hour response to urgent / AOG (Aircraft on Ground) needs. The normal department hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. ON CALL duties are required for AOG customer phone support.

Employees may be asked to travel, on occasion, to various customer locations both domestically and internationally, along with customer location visits.

 

 

Education, Experience and Credentials

• Two year trade or technical degree preferred, or, equivalent work experience.
• Experience working with general aviation aircraft parts strongly preferred.
• A&P license preferred.
• Ability to obtain US passport and be willing to travel on occasion preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Self-motivated, fast learner, shows initiative, willing to seek out customer needs and meet them.
• Moderate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet. Able to learn and utilize all available Wipaire software packages and various other external applications.
• Work as an effective and proactive team player; exhibit flexibility and able to switch priorities in work duties while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and applies effective time management skills in order to meet all deadlines.
• Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the questions and needs of individuals both internal and external to the company.
• Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization.
• Sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
• Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use and to review detailed reports and information.
• Stand and walk to move around the office work area repeatedly throughout the day.t
