Software Engineer, Product Backend

Responsibilities

• Own greenfield product features from inception through implementation, experimentation, launch, and continued improvement.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and engineers to develop effective solutions.
• Architect REST APIs backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations.
• Write efficient, maintainable, readable, and testable code.
• Build scalable backend systems and distributed CRUD functionality using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Requirements

• BA or BS in computer science or a related degree.
• Experience building and shipping scalable backend features.
• Experience building scalable and maintainable backend systems.
• Experience authoring REST APIs; OpenAPI knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with distributed CRUD functionality, ideally across both SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Comfort with or desire to master Golang and Java.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, take ownership, troubleshoot, and build user-focused products.
