Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Role Description We are seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our team at our on-site location in San Diego, CA. The individual is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation activities. This role leads and develops AR staff, strengthens internal controls, and partners with internal stakeholders to improve cash flow, reduce aged receivables, and maintain positive customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop Accounts Receivable staff, including workload distribution, performance management, and training Oversee billing, invoicing, cash application, adjustments, and account reconciliations Ensure timely and accurate posting of customer payments (ACH, wire, checks, credit cards) Monitor accounts receivable aging and minimize past due balances Review and approve credit memos, write-offs, and account adjustments within delegated authority Coordinate dispute resolution with customers, sales, and operations teams Prepare and review AR reports and present to finance team Support month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts receivable Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, systems, and workflows Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance leadership to resolve issues impacting billing or collections Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred but not necessary 5+ years of progressive accounts receivable experience 2+ years of supervisory experience in an AR or accounting function Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes Proven people leadership and coaching skills High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Company Benefits Competitive salary and profit sharing/bonuses.
