Duties include finishing work, hand deburr, parts cleaning, parts routing, basic drill and tap work, masking and/or racking parts to be painted, and operating various machines/equipment in the assigned area./ppJob Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliSets up and operates painting equipment in production area and performs various secondary activities within assigned area:/liulliPrep/liliPackage/liliManual Paint Booth/liliAuto Paint Booth/li/ulliInspects assigned work, achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards, and follows safety guidelines. Uses required PPE (personal protective equipment) and not pose risk to self or others./liliPerforms basic blueprint reading and/or follows production order checklists, method sheets, and records work information on job cards./liliSafely and efficiently routes parts using material handling equipment./liliWorks collaboratively within the team to maintain a neat and organized workstation./liliActively engages and participates in department continuous improvement efforts./li/ulpQualifications:/ppKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliMust be able to read, write, and effectively communicate work information in English with demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, including actively participating in pass down communication to other shift peers and leadership./liliDemonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively./liliManual dexterity is required./liliDemonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations/liliBasic computer skills are required./li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliPrevious powder coat manufacturing experience preferred but not required./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/ppAbility to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must have manual hand dexterity to grasp, operate tools and equipment repetitively. Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift. Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and/or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc./ppAbility to wear respiratory protection and comply with OSHAs respirator use requirements./ppDisclaimer:/ppThis job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
