SURFACE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Service Technician for a company based in Cordova, TN. In this role, you will have the opportunity as a Service Technician to repair cosmetic damage to a variety of hard surfaces, helping customers avoid the cost of replacement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed craftmanship, problem-solving, and working independently.

Pay Rate
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on experience) $21+ commissions will be offered once you rollover.

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm. (possible overtime)

Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to complete scheduled repair appointments.
• Repair chips, scratches, cracks, burns, dents, and other cosmetic damage on countertops, cabinets, bathtubs, showers, sinks, tile, hardware, laminate, vinyl flooring, appliance, furniture, glass, and other hard surfaces.
• Match colors and finishes to blend repairs seamlessly.
• Mix and apply specialty repair products, coatings, and fillers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Document daily schedule and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Service Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Construction, maintenance, painting, cabinet finishing, auto body, flooring, woodworking, or general handyman experience is preferred but not required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, frequently bend, kneel squat, climb, stand and walk for extended periods.
