Automotive Technician

McCarthy Tire is seeking a motivated Passenger Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and mechanical repairs while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced shop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform passenger tire installation, repair, rotation, balancing, and replacement Inspect and test vehicles to identify maintenance and repair needs Complete preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and engine tune-ups Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems Ensure compliance with state vehicle safety, engine, and emissions requirements Maintain accurate service and repair records Keep shop equipment operational by performing routine maintenance and reporting repair needs Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with ordering as needed Stay current on industry knowledge through training and technical publications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Other Duties Additional responsibilities may arise as part of the role. Candidates should be flexible and prepared to take on new challenges as needed. Education High School Diploma or GED required Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license Must have your own tools Experience with passenger service tires preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States Why Join McCarthy Tire?
