Radiologic Technologist

Centennial PRN Monday-Friday day shift $2,500 Sign-on Bonus

POSITION GOAL

Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out radiology requisitions and views. Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed. Memorizes the specific views each physician requires on exams. Assists patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. Stocks necessary supplies. Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials. Assists with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists. Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner. Imports and uploads outside CDs for clinic.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Six (6) months' experience as a radiologic technologist is required. Previous orthopaedic experience. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT. Current ARRT certification & current TN licensure. Special Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Knowledge of radiographic technique and medical imaging system(s). Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy. Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements. Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) and proof of insurance required for position on-boarding. Annual MVR is required per policy and procedure; background reports may be run as needed throughout the course of employment.
