OSP Construction Manager (100% Travel Required)

Job Description Olsson provides construction management, administration, and observation services for both public and private projects to ensure work is performed in conformance with project documents. Our construction services include daily observation/inspection, project documentation, submittal review, design support, shop drawing review, payment application review, payroll review, and oversight for materials testing. In this role, you will assist engineers and construction managers with observation, inspection, and documentation throughout all phases of OSP construction, ensuring contractors install fiber and related infrastructure according to customer requirements and engineering plans. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site. Read and interpret plans and specifications at various stages of a project. Initiate actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule. Resolve on-site problems and design modifications regarding construction of the project. Work in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites at various construction stages. Identify and avoid potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites. Position Includes Use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites. Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided. Prescription safety eyewear and work boot reimbursement program. Company issued laptop. Cell phone reimbursement options. Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to contribute and work well on a team. Strong attention to detail. Eight (8) or more years' experience performing construction inspection specifically with Fiber/OSP. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes. Valid driver’s license and a good driving history. Schedule flexibility. Bisci certification(s) preferred, but not required. Associate's degree in a construction related field, preferred but not required. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required. Benefits Competitive 401(k) match.
