Jr. Staff Accountant

Position Summary The Jr. Staff Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end close process, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assist with postings to the general ledger. Primary Purpose: The Jr. Staff Accountant will collect, compile and enter payroll data using appropriate software. Review and verify source documents. Essential Functions Help process month-end and year-end close process Supervise accounts payable team members Reconcile balance sheet accounts to general ledger Post month-end journal entries Provide monthly reports comparing actual results with budgeted projections and writing budget variance notes Assist in the process of developing budgets Support all day-to-day accounting functions Bank reconciliations Process account payables vouchers and deposit accounts receivables checks As other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: Must be detailed oriented. Maintain effective working relationships with company’s external partners Excellent communication and analytical skills Bilingual (English and Spanish) Knowledge of relevant software (Excel, Word, Quickbooks or otheraccounting software packages) Understanding of basic accounting principles Understanding of internal controls of Account Payable and Account Receivable.
