Tool Room Attendant – Night and Rotating Shifts (Start Date: Monday, August 31, 2026)

• Location: Abilene, TX 79601
• Pay: $23-26/hour

TruBlu HR Solutions is hiring Tool Room Attendants to support a large jobsite in Abilene. Openings are available on night shift and for individuals willing to rotate between day and night shifts based on project needs.

This position is open to local and out-of-area applicants. Airbnb lodging will be provided for employees traveling to Abilene.

This is a hands-on inventory position working inside an onsite tool trailer. You will check tools and equipment in and out, maintain accurate inventory records, organize the trailer, inspect returned equipment, and assist workers with their tool and equipment needs.

Available Schedules

Night Shift

• 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Must be available to begin Monday, August 31, 2026.

Rotating Shift

• Must be willing to work both day and night shifts.
• Day Shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Night Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Shift will change according to project coverage needs.

The project follows an extended schedule of 13 days on and 1 day off.

Responsibilities

• Check tools and equipment in and out.
• Enter tool transactions into a computer-based inventory system.
• Maintain accurate records of all tool and equipment movement.
• Verify that returned tools are properly accounted for.
• Inspect returned tools for damage or missing parts.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Organize tools, equipment, and supplies inside the trailer.
• Help workers locate and receive the correct tools.
• Report missing, damaged, or overdue equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool trailer.
• Provide professional customer service at the jobsite.
• Follow all jobsite and OSHA safety requirements.

Requirements

• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• At least six months of tool room, inventory, warehouse, equipment rental, or related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with tools.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Must be dependable and able to work the full assigned schedule.
• Must pass the drug screen and DISA background check required for jobsite access.
• The customer’s site-access policy does not permit felony convictions.
