Physical Therapist

City : Lake Isabella Department : Rehab Services Dept. Schedule : Full-Time Description Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients. Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating the data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. Oversee and direct patient care provided by Physical Therapist Assistant(s). Confer with the patient, medical practitioners and appropriate others to plan, implement and assess the intervention program. Review physician’s referral and patient’s medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required. Physical Therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QI activities. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, District safety and fire safety programs. Qualifications Must have current California Physical Therapist license and BLS certification. Minimum.(3) years experience in aspects of rehabilitative medicine. Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must interface effectively and tactfully with, patients, residents, staff, the general public and governmental agency reps. Basic computer skills required. Complete The Application Below.
