Provide pharmaceutical care as a pharmacist in a 25-bed critical access hospital, supporting diverse patient needs including ER, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical units. This role offers an opportunity for travel and is well-suited for those holding a Wisconsin ACT 10 license.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately using Cerner EMR and Pyxis automated systems.
• Manage medication therapy for an average of 10-12 patients daily.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective pharmacological treatments.
• Support emergency room, labor & delivery, and med-surg departments with pharmacy services.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and hospital policies.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license, ACT 10 license accepted.
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Cerner, and automated dispensing cabinets like Pyxis.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location:

• Hixton, Wisconsin

Schedule/Hours:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

This is a 13-week+ contract position that starts with coverage needed by early July. Candidates willing to begin slightly earlier to prepare for the rotation are preferred.
