Unit Overview – Interventional Care Unit (IVCU)

• 18-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit
• Specializes in:
  • STEMI / NSTEMI
  • Post-PCI & Cath Lab recovery
  • CHF, COPD, and chest pain management
  • Advanced cardiac procedures (pacemakers, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis)
• Additional care includes:
  • Chest tubes, trachs, CIWA protocols
  • Hi-flow oxygen & BiPAP support

Staffing & Ratios:

• 4:1 patient ratio
• Team-based model: 5 RNs + CNC support
• Additional support from LNAs and Unit Clerk

️ Technology & Equipment

• Meditech Expanse EMR
• IV pumps, Sara Steady, Hoyer lifts
• Hi-Flow, BiPAP, Kangaroo pumps
• Bladder scanner & more

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience
• Active NH RN License or Compact License (required at submission)
• BLS, ACLS from AHA, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong Telemetry/PCU experience
• Comfortable with post-operative and cardiac-focused care
