Xray Technician

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician for a contract opportunity on a consistent day shift schedule. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and experience in both general radiology and operating room (OR) environments. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with established clinical, state, and federal guidelines Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and proper positioning Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and routine care Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety protocols Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and surgical teams to support patient care, including intraoperative imaging in the OR Monitor and adjust imaging procedures as needed to ensure optimal results Coordinate daily imaging workflow and prioritize cases effectively Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines Maintain accurate and timely documentation of imaging procedures Identify equipment or procedural issues and escalate concerns as appropriate Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, clinical practices, and healthcare informatics Demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiography program NJ State RT License ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification – Required BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician (at least 18 months required) Experience with GE imaging equipment preferred Prior experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting required Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting radiographic equipment Strong knowledge of imaging procedures and radiation safety practices Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Shift is 10 hrs/day (07:00 AM – 05:00 PM), 30 hrs/week Location is Morristown, NJ 07960 Pay Range for Locals: $50 - $55 per hour Note: Accommodations for applicants with disabilities are available.
