Community Development Officer II

As a Community Development Officer II within PNC’s Corporate Responsibility Group, you will be based in Houston, TX. Job Responsibilities Serve as a local market subject matter expert on CRA compliance, the Community Benefits Plan, and other community-based plans or undertakings of the bank, developing assessment area strategies to ensure CRA Community Development services meet or exceed targets. Manage and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, LOB partners, and external partners such as nonprofits, advocacy groups, government entities, and other groups that benefit LMI communities, small businesses, and small farms; mentor, coach, and onboard team members as needed. Develop and implement grantmaking, services, and investment strategies for assessment areas in line with PNC’s Community Development strategy by identifying prospective grant partners and utilizing grant funds to maximize impact. Actively represent PNC in the community through board memberships, speaking engagements, events, and by managing community partner relationships; work directly with non‑profit organizations to deliver financial education to LMI families/communities and serve as a referral source to connect them with LOB partners. Manage and coordinate key Community Development Banking initiatives and programs, including the PNC Center for Financial Education (CFE), a PNC‑led effort to bridge gaps in financial education and equip local community residents with budgeting resources. Provide CRA database support by capturing and documenting all CRA‑eligible PNC employee service activities, recording activities in the CDB service database, and working with Relationship Managers to identify loans/investments likely to be closed/booked for entry into the CRA database. Encourage employees to become engaged and serve on non‑profit boards and provide financial education focused on LMI adults and small businesses. Work Experience: Roles at this level typically require a university/college degree with 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered. Education: Bachelor’s degree.
