Transportation Administrator The Transportation Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Transportation Department to ensure efficient daily transportation operations. This position is responsible for coordinating driver paperwork, maintaining transportation records, assisting with route documentation, monitoring compliance requirements, processing invoices, and serving as a liaison between drivers, warehouse operations, customer service, and management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment. Essential Responsibilities: Assist driver check-ins and maintain accurate transportation records, ensuring timely updates to route, inventory, and delivery documentation. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by reconciling records, communicating with drivers, and updating systems as needed. Monitor and address incomplete route issues, collaborating with drivers, dispatch personnel, and operations teams to ensure successful service completion. Utilize transportation management and routing software to assign drivers, optimize delivery schedules, update route information, and communicate operational changes. Manage daily dispatch activities by coordinating vehicle and equipment assignments Monitor communications between drivers and the transportation office, providing administrative support and facilitating timely issue resolution. Prepare, maintain, and distribute reports related to transportation activities, route performance, driver attendance, and inventory tracking. Support supervisors and management with scheduling, documentation, audits, compliance tracking, and process improvement initiatives. Assist with special projects and perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Experience, Education & Physical Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, or distribution. Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), or fleet management software is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to walk through warehouse and transportation yard as needed. Ability to perform work in both office and warehouse environments. Compensation & Benefits: The pay range for this role is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This range represents what the company reasonably expects to pay an associate for this role based on current market data, internal equity, and other business factors. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations.
